Smoochy McKissyFace is all about the air kiss now. When I hold her close and kiss her cheek I often hear a reciprocating lip smacky noise. Melts my icy black heart into an inky black puddle every time.

The Rice Cereal Incident

I got the go-ahead from our pediatrician to try out some rice cereal on the wee one, so I decided to wait until the 4 1/2 month mark to try it out. I wasn’t expecting much, considering how we all know how well she takes a bottle (she doesn’t), but I thought it would make for some pretty fun video.

I wasn’t wrong about that. However, I was wrong about how much she seemed to enjoy her first introduction to food.

This had us howling tonight.

Just before bed, I like to show Reese the pictures of “the baby” — that is, her pictures on the blog. She’s usually interested, but it doesn’t take long for her to grow tired of sitting on my lap in front of the computer on most nights. Tonight we showed her the little Reese Movies (the 4:30 AM Chatterbox, to be exact) and she gave us a reaction we didn’t expect at all.

In fact, it might be the first time we have captured her full out laughing on video.
