Sunday night, my husband successfully fed 3 oz. to our brand new daughter via bottle! It took 2 different types of nipple, but she really didn’t put up too much of a fight. She seemed to find a way to simultaneously protest while she nipped away at the bottle though, which was a really funny sound. I can’t even describe it.
Since I technically was supposed to be in another room at the time of the bottle introduction (helps keep the baby focused on the food in the bottle, not the food attached to mommy), I didn’t capture photographic proof of this milestone.
I’m still a little worried about BPA in these polycarbonate bottles, so as soon as I can I’m going to go get some old-school glass nursers or some Playtex Drop-ins…
