It’s done. The first project with my new team, new company. I can’t take any sort of creative credit, I just did the coding. Lots of coding. I’m beat, but thought everyone would appreciate the 10 minutes I took out of my Sunday before launch to play with my baby boy…. out in the first significant snowfall of the year…. I think.

Snowtime for Ronin Snow Time for Ronin Snowtime for Ronin

Ronin doesn’t seem to be quite as thrilled about the cold white stuff as I was… but we had a fun 10 minutes watching him take it all in.

anxiously overcaffeinated…yeah.

Well now. I’ve been writing a whole lotta SQL and ASP and drinking waaaaay the hell too much coffee in the past 12 hours (it’s 1:00 am EST). Now, I can’t sleep, due more to anxiety than the effects of the caffeine. I’ve falling a teensy bit behind in where I expected to be deadline-wise for the launch of one of our projects (primarily due to the misfortune of having week-long holidays away from work? eep!). Unfortunately, I think that this slippage would suggest that I’m not nearly as quick or clever of a developer as I generally fancy myself… or, as the case is today I am distracted much too easily and have a terrible sense of time management. Looks like I’m already starting a list already for 2007 resolutions.

I have my first official tag-response. The Gang at E-Lah quite snappily pulled together a fine South Park character. Thanks K! Still waiting on others — Bring it, Ms. “I’m engaged!” Kim! Yeah, I know you want to…

My moment of Zen before I toddle off to bed:

the wee baby cole and the gui girl enjoy a little snuggle time.

I get to snuggle with other peoples’ babies.

Pwned.

I’m going to start the new year off right.

Cool Thing of the Month: One of my new colleagues came across a site that allows you to create your own South Park character. I haven’t actually watched SP that much since I was in college, but I did have a blast building my own character. And as you may have suspected… I built my character in my own image (I guess I’m just that self-absorbed). I’m not sure why I added the Wolverine style claws… latent mutant envy?

I tag thee Kim, Frizzle, The Gang at E-Lah…the challenge is on! Create Your Own South Park Character Now!
